Welcome to Donations.com. By using our platform, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Platform Overview

Donations.com is a platform that enables individuals, creators, and registered nonprofits to receive financial support through cryptocurrency (non-custodial) and card payments (via Stripe Connect). We do not hold, manage, or custody any funds. All payments are processed directly between supporters and recipients.

2. Account Types

Our platform supports three types of accounts, each with different capabilities:

🏛️ Registered 501(c)(3) Charities — Verified nonprofits that have passed EIN verification. These accounts may use "donation" language and accept one-time and recurring donations via Stripe and crypto.
🎨 Creators & Individuals — Content creators, streamers, artists, and individuals. These accounts use "tip" and "support" language. Stripe access requires admin approval after meeting eligibility requirements.
🏢 Organizations — Community organizations, campaigns, clubs, and teams. These accounts use "donation" language for verified entities or "support" language otherwise.

3. Language & Classification

Important: The word "donation" on our platform is reserved for registered 501(c)(3) charities and verified nonprofit organizations. Individual creators and non-charitable accounts use "tip" and "support" language. This distinction is enforced at the platform level and is required for payment processing compliance.

4. Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited on Donations.com:

Impersonating another person, organization, or charity
Using "donation" or "fundraiser" language on non-charitable accounts
Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
Using the platform for illegal activities, money laundering, or fraud
Misrepresenting 501(c)(3) status or providing false EIN information
Harassment, spam, or abuse of any kind

5. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to freeze, suspend, or terminate any account that violates these terms. Frozen accounts cannot receive payments. Users may appeal by contacting support@donations.com.

6. Platform Fees

Donations.com charges a small platform fee on card payments processed through Stripe. Cryptocurrency payments are non-custodial and do not incur platform fees — standard network gas fees apply.

7. No Tax or Legal Advice

Donations.com does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. Tax-deductible status applies only to verified 501(c)(3) organizations. Contributors should consult their tax advisor regarding deductibility.
